Would Not Hesitate to Recommend Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough, Joseph – Westborough, MA

May 20, 2010

Dear Mr. Chambers
I want to compliment you on the way your Westborough Honda dealership is
run.  I purchased a Honda CRV from your dealership and it was one of the
most pleasant experiences I have had in purchasing a vechile.  Rick
Rignanese(salesman) and Tom Van Fechtmann(GM) were most helpful in helping
me choose the vechile that fit my needs.  They were courteous, professional
and did not use high pressure tactics that most car dealers use.  I want to
thank you for having people like this on staff. I would not hesitate to
recommend this dealership to family and friends. I would like to thank Rick
and Tom for a pleasant experience.
THANK YOU

Richard and Donna – Westborough, MA

A little over a month ago I had the pleasure of working with Bethany and her team at Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough when I purchased a 2008 CRV. It was my first time going through the dealership process and everyone was very attentive and understanding. Bethany took the time to find out what was important to me and then applied that to our test drives. Two of the key selling points for me on the CRV were the backseat mirror built into the sunglass holder and the fold down center tray for accessing the backseat. Both small things, but since Bethany knew that my life revolved around children with severe special needs, my dog, and my family, she was able to find the car that suited all my needs and more. To date my Honda CRV is my second most pleasing purchase (second only to my dog). The car has performed beautifully in all types of weather. This being New England, I have had the opportunity to drive it in the snow, ice, sleet, slush, etc and I have always felt confident in the CRV’s handling and control. (To be honest during some of the big storms this winter, I felt safer in the CRV then I had in my previous car – a Jeep Cherokee.) I continue to be impressed by the service provided at Herb Chambers, whether its through Bethany calling to check in, an email from the service department, or simply knowing that I can always get my car washed – I feel valued as a costumer and part of the Honda family. I made the right decision when I went to Herb Chambers and while I’m sure my next vehicle will be many years down the road, I will be coming back to Herb Chambers because they have earned my trust and confidence. I am proud to be a Honda owner and thank you for the “great experience” of buying my new CRV!

Ron – Danvers, MA

My daughter bought her 1st Honda at another dealer in 1966 which was not the best experience for a 1st timer! She was now in the market for a new Honda CRV EX 4WD and I was determined to do my best to see that this experience should be totally different from the last.

I had met a Chambers Chevrolet sales manger at the Danvers dealership and was very impressed with his ability to make a prospective customer feel good about shoping or just looking at new cars. Michael Fronduto discussed my interest in a Chevrolet without any pressure or any hint that I should buy that today…a pleasant and enjoyable event.

I called Michael and told him of my daughter’s interest in a new Honda and asked if he could help. He said he could and contacted Bill Richie at Burlington Honda. Within an hour, Michael had all the details I needed to pass on to my daughter and this past Thursday, we visited the Burlington dealership and bought the CRV !!! Can”t believe it was that easy, fun and a totally enjoyable experience !!!

Thank you Michael and the staff of Burlington Honda !

Dear Mr. Chambers,

I wanted to take this opportunity to compliment the following staff at Herb Chambers Honda of Boston, following my recent purchase of a new Honda CRV:

ANNA BANKS – superb sales person – if it weren’t for her demeanor and personality, I would NOT have purchased from this dealership. Over a two-week period, she put great effort into my car-buying process. She is a shining example of how a car salesperson should approach and deal with a customer – professional, patient, courteous, and knowledgeable. It was my pleasure to bring her lunch on one occasion and a flowering plant upon delivery to show my appreciation for her time and dedication.

DARRITH (her direct sales manager) – Again, very personable and professional and concerned about making a deal what would satisfy my financial requirements.

HOWIE (General Manager) — Another top notch person with whom to deal. He matched a price offer from Boch Honda on the spot, which sealed the final deal. He also engaged in pleasant conversation about the car business and buying in general. Without his final approval of the price/deal, I would likely not have purchased from this dealership.

CLAIRE VAN PELT (Communications Director/Main Reception) – Always pleasant on the phone. I told her in person how remarkable her demeanor was on the phone every time I called. I don’t know how one person answering phones all day can possibly remain so upbeat and chipper. It was my pleasure to provide her a flowering plant upon car delivery to express my appreciation for her pleasant phone manner

KEVIN RAPOSO (Internet Sales) – Kevin was my point of first contact via my Internet request for pricing/availability of vehicle I was interested in purchasing. Again, very personable and professional.

I hope you will take the time to personally share my comments with the above staff. You are lucky to employ all of them. They all share you general philosophy of helping a customer purchase a vehicle, rather than just simply selling a vehicle. A representative from Honda Motor Company called me last week to rate my experience with your dealership. I was happy to provide 5-stars for all questions.

Thanks to you and your staff for such fine customer service (This in an economic environment where, perhaps, more desperate sales measures are sometimes employed.)

I have a picture of Anna and I on delivery, but was not able to attach it. When I receive your email address in reply to this note, I will happily attach and send it!

Sincerely,

Glenn

PS: This is my second purchase from a Herb Chambers dealership. The first was from Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough last fall.

The service manager from Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk made contact with both the client and Honda Corporation in regard to the issue with the locking mechanism in the CRV. Honda agreed to cover 70% of the repair and the client agreed to pay the remaining 30%, as they were no longer covered under the manufactures warranty. Herb Chambers Honda of Seekonk performed the necessary repairs.

Good Morning,

I lease a 2007 CRV from you. I absolutely love it and, to date, have been most satisfied with everything about the dealership. My vehicle has 50,000 miles on it (proves that I love it) and I plan to purchase it at the end of my lease in October 2009. I’m also thinking about purchasing a SmartCar at that time as well.

Now for my problem. The driver’s door lock and passenger door lock on the driver’s side have ceased functioning automatically. About five weeks ago it started. While driving, I could hear the locks click (as though locking) every so often. It got progressively worse to the point where now, even though I’ve manually locked both doors, the clicking sound goes off each time I brake and/or accelerate. The rear door lock also sounds like a machine gun in rapid fire whenever I brake or accelerate. I’ve called the dealer to ask if it would be covered under warranty and was told “no”. My brother-in-law, who is also a Herb Chambers customer and self-employed auto mechanic spoke to Tim at the dealership and asked him about my locks on my behalf. He was told that they couldn’t do anything at the dealership. I can fully understand anything having to do with the mechanics of driving being void after 36,000 miles or three years but really, what does the door locking system have to do with how many miles I’ve driven? Also, I am almost always alone in the car so it’s not like I have passengers who are using the locks. I would appreciate it if you at Herb Chambers corporate offices would consider repairing these for me under warranty. I was told it would be $350 per lock and quite honestly, I cannot afford that for a two year old car. Please take this matter under consideration and get back to me at your convenience. Until then, I remain under rapid fire.

Sincerely,

Noelle
