Extremely Pleased with Service at Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington, Sven – Burlington, MA

10/30/09

Dear Sir or Madam,

A week ago I sent you a letter, regarding servicing my vehicle in Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington. The very same day I was contacted by Mr. Gerry Salois General Manager of the facility. On the next day Mr. Salois met me in person and we discussed my concerns. Later the same day he introduced me to his team members on the service side and the vehicle repair was expedited. All the time I was treated with a highest level of care and respect.

I picked up my vehicle today and I have to admit, I am extremely pleased with the results. My vehicle is repaired to the highest standards of the industry and virtually looks like new. Ones again Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington proved to me that they really value their costumers.

I would like to use the opportunity to thank Mr. Salois for his personal involvement in the matter. It means a lot to me that an official of his rank is willing to meet in person with a regular costumer and treat him as a member of the family. Needless to say, I look forward to continue being part of the family of Herb Chambers and service my vehicles with you in the future.

With regards;

Sven

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Sven and I am a Herb Chambers costumer since early 2004 when I bought from you my first Accord. Two weeks ago I brought my present vehicle Accord EXL 2009 for service at one of your dealerships, namely Herb Chambers Burlington. After diagnostics, which took a day the vehicle was “accepted” for steering column replacement on the next day. The actual repair took another day. Both times I had to rent a vehicle on my own. After the repair, on my way out of the dealership I noticed a deep dent on the rear bumper. I promptly called back and returned the vehicle. The service advisor, very polite and understanding person was very surprised, apparently on one reported the damage to him and correspondingly to me. The vehicle was scheduled again for rear bumper repaint. The actual painting of the bumper took five (5) days and I was provided a vehicle this time. I was called the last Saturday to receive the vehicle. It was rainy and dark day, the vehicle was wet and the paint job looked good at that time. The next day when the vehicle dried out the real truth was revealed. The pain finish was rough and dull and small drop size white spots were visible all over the surface. On close look is visible that the bumper was actually not even removed form the vehicle but painted on it.

Initially I thought of returning back to Herb Chambers Burlington and complain again, but on a second thought I decided that I will fix it on my own and write this letter to you. It seems that every time they had the car the job was getting bigger and bigger. I can not risk further damage to the vehicle. You just lost a long time costumer and may be not just one. I am not sure if I am going to set my foot in a Herb Chambers dealership again, thanks to the “professional” work of Herb Chambers Burlington that turned my eight months old twenty eight thousand dollar vehicle to a cheep ride. Thanks and have a nice day.

With regards:  Sven

New Accord Purchase at Herb Chambers Honda, Dan – Boston, MA

5/25/09

I just wanted to write a quick note to tell you what a great experience I had working with Keith Banks-Obanor at Honda/Boston. I am the type of person who does my research and always walks into a dealership with low expectations. We originally went in to look at a used Accord. We left in a brand new one! Why? Keith treated my wife and I with the utmost respect. He knew exactly what we were looking for and made it happen at a very good deal. The car buying process was smooth from start to finish. Because of him, you can expect me to refer people to him and your dealership. Give him a promotion!

Thank you,

Dan

I would like to follow up on my first e-mail from this morning. About 20
minutes ago, Howi Resk, General Manager, called me and asked about the
situation. He did all the right things – listened and offered a
solution/option. I was very impressed by the way he managed the conversation
and, in particular, how sensitive he was about my wife’s experience. We
agreed that I would bring the car to the dealership for re-inspection of the
scratch and that it would be fixed. His wording was clear and simple; to the
point. I appreciate the effort and I hope, if the car will be indeed fixed,
that my wife will simile again. Thank you, for now, for the follow up and
the promise. Respectfully, Miroslav

We bought a used car (Honda Accord 2007) yesterday and thought we’d celebrate (we signed the paperwork on Monday, title on Tuesday and picked up the car on Wednesday this week). Instead, we feel taken advantage of and really disappointed. The car was presented to us as in Excellent Condition and both, the manager Kevin and the sales person Alex, lied to us. We asked them about the condition of the car multiple times and they both said repeatedly that the car is excellent condition and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. They let us believe that we are getting great deal on the car. They must have known. It’s their job to know. And we feel it was also their job to let us know about this condition. There is a scratch on the door that we were not told about (and unfortunately we didn’t notice it; it’s not big and you might not notice it at first glance because it’s on the lower part of the back doors) and the sales person told me yesterday, when I was picking up the car and when I noticed the scratch, that “you didn’t see it because the car was dirty before. It’s nothing don’t worry about it.” We also did get only one key with the remote and one valet parking key.
So that’s our experience with your dealership and with your people. I wonder why am I even writing this? I think because I still want to believe that the person we see on TV telling us about the great experience one should have when buying a car telling the truth and that he really means what he says. We are therefore asking you to make this right. We are asking you to give us that great experience. Unfortunately, I can’t ask you for the tears of my wife back. But perhaps you can do something about the car. Respectfully, Miroslav

Dear Mr. Chambers:

I am writing to express my appreciation for the outstanding service Phillip Potheau provided in trading in my 2006 Honda Accord and leasing a new Accord.  Phillip?s enthusiasm and extensive knowledge made for a very positive experience.  Moreover, the entire staff with whom I  had contact at Herb Chambers Westborough provided excellent service.

Phillip and his sales manager bargained vigorously with me, as I had a very specific number in mind.   They, however, never resorted to the high pressure sales tactics that would have pushed me out the door.  Indeed, I chose not to do business with two other dealerships because their efforts rubbed me the wrong way.  Integrity more than anything else brought me back to your dealership.  You deserve and have earned my continued business.

After a few days of driving my new Accord, I discovered I had misplaced a sleeve of CDs.  Searches of the house and car were fruitless, and I realized I had left them in the 2006 Accord.  Phillip, tracked down the car and retrieved the CDs for me.  Frankly, based on my experience with Phillip, I was not surprised.  He is truly an asset to your corporation.

 Best regards,

  Matt

I have experienced a difficult time in life, I Leased a Honda Accord 07 when I was making enough money that I could afford to make my payments. I have since been Laid off and am now working back at logan airport in a new position but making half of what I was earning, I called your dealership in Boston Commonwealth Ave and tried to see if I could get myself into a civic and lower my payments, My miles is just about to capacity. so I would have to try to change the car anyway, It is not that I do not want to make my payments, it is that I can no longer afford the payments. I am trying to make one last attempt by asking you for your help. I am a single Mom with 2 children and I have always worked very hard but I just can not make the arranged payments. I need a car to get to and from work and pick my Daughter up at school. If there is anything that you can do to help me get a lower payment that I can afford I would be forever greatful.

Sincerely
Maria

Hi Herb,

I won’t take up too much of your time but I recently had some work done on my Honda Accord to take care of a nagging problem I had been having. I spoke with Peter Slota and he told me to bring it over. He went for a test drive with me and I could tell from the look on his face that he was committed to getting to the bottom of this. And that is exactly what he did! Problem solved!

I’ve owned a lot of cars in my days and had a lot of work done on them but Peter Slota made that THE BEST AUTOMOBILE SERVICE EXPERIENCE that I have ever had. That’s right, Herb, THE BEST !!! Please thank Peter for me.

Regards,

Mark

I just spoke to Richard and told him we would get a check out to him in the morning.

He was very thankful and said it wasn’t our fault and appreciated us correcting immediately.

In March of 2007, I puchased an Accord from Herb Chambers

with extended tire warranty from Alexico / Travel-Gard Corp.

In May of 2008, I had to replace two tires due to nail puncture. I submitted a claim

$175.00) for one tire (I wonder if two tires should have been covered?).

On 7-31 Connie Wasmer told me it had been approved and the

check would be mailed. On 9-11, I called again and was told it would

go out within 2 weeks. I left messages on 10-13 and 10-15. I still

have not received a check or a call back. I will pay closer attention

to warranties in the future. Five months is rediculous!

Can you help?

Richard

I was referred to Herb Chambers Honda from a member of my golf club as he said the service and car selection was the best. He was right!

The minute I entered the showroom I got immediate assistance from very knowledgeable and pleasant sales people. I met with the general manager, Howie Reske, who clearly explained to me my options and gave me honest comparisons of Hondas to other non-Honda vehicles. I did not feel pressured; instead, I felt that Howie and his sales people were working with me to find a car that met my needs and my budget. I ended up going with a new Honda Accord with great financing through Honda. The financing person (I think his name was King) was very nice to work with and laid out several financing options and worked with me to find a plan that fit my monthly budget.

I had a top-of-the-line experience at Herb Chambers Honda in Boston and I would recommend this dealership to all prospective car buyers.
